Product Review - Mountain Goats Milk Soap

This is not a sponsored post

My son Ishaq suffers from horrible eczema. He is allergic to dust and the slightest contact with it creates not only hives but eczema left over on his skin. He gets it all over his body from between the toes to his eye lids. I have tried so many different products to ease his dryness and itchiness and while I have had some good success with them they never quite healed it completely.

We hate using the cortisone creams that the dr recommends although sometimes sadly we do have to resort to it for the very worst of symptoms.

I've found great relief with Mountain Goats Milk Soap products recently for his dry skin and indeed the itchiness. I've been using the baby wash or the soap in his bath and then smothering him with their gorgeous creams.

Here's a few we love...

Moisture Intense:

For those who need extreme moisturising this cream is readily absorbed into the skin and the moisture is so very well lasting you will be surprised. And the scent... DIVINE !

Luxurious Unscented Soap:

With no water used in this product and only the very best Goats milk and rich in skin loving oils and butters this soap will leave you wonderfully clean and fresh without stripping your already dry skin of it's natural oils.

Baby Wash:

Rich in the essential oils of Lavender this delightful wash is not only a pleasure to use but it's great for your baby's skin. This beautiful wash really goes a long way so when it says you only need the smallest amount it truly means it. I love to use this for myself too... just don't tell the kids.

Raspberry Cream:

Do you remember the smell of Redskins lollies as a kid? that overwhelmingly delicious scent of raspberries when you ate them? THIS cream is THAT smell !! This is a wonderfully buttery cream with no water added for maximum moisture absorption. Plus of course, it smells incredible.

Lip Balm... One for mama:

I love the rich chocolate scent and flavour of this gorgeous lip balm. I have it ready to go in my handbag for when I want a hit of deliciousness. You don't even need to have rough lips to want to smooth this onto your lips. And because it is firm in the container, it doesn't get wasted and definitely will not leak out of the container. Just delightful.

You will love these products even if you do not suffer from eczema. I have been telling everyone about these lovely products and i'm sure you will adore them also if you try them.

Please check out their website HERE  and their facebook page HERE Make sure to tell them that Australian Mums Products sent you :)

Before you leave... here's some lovely Goats!

Product Review - Twinings Festive Tea

The amazing people at Twinings Australia sent us some gorgeous Festive tea to review and some extras to giveaway !!

This tea is literally Christmas in a cup... I love it so much ! Everything from the smell of the brew to the taste of the tea just screams festivities to you. It is quite unlike any other tea I have ever tried and I've tried so many. You really need to get your hands on some of this tea and try it for yourself.

Christmas Tea

Christmas tea is a Malty Assam blended with Cinnamon, Clove and Spice flavourings. This is a totally scrumptious festive twist on your classic brew. It's a delightful balance of what you already know and the seasonal tastes you love. It honestly does smell and taste just like Christmas ! This beautiful tin contains 20 pretty individually wrapped bags and would be perfect to treat yourself or to give as a gift. I have found this to be a very refreshing afternoon delight. It's so beautiful outside as the sun is setting and the cool air is flowing. The combined relaxation of a lazy afternoon and this tea is the perfect way to end a day.

Indulgent Vanilla Chai

Spicy Chai black tea with creamy rich Vanilla flavours. Perfect to sit down to after a long day or really just because it is so lovely and comforting. This is a wonderfully aromatic blend and the smell hits you as soon as you open the tin. It's a true pleasure to have. It is quite enjoyable alone or add some sugar and a dash of milk for a true Chai taste. Every sip is like a beautiful comforting hug. This tin also contains 20 very pretty individually wrapped bags. I've been drinking this tea teamed with a yummy teacake once the little ones are all asleep for a very selfish and indulgent treat.

We have 4 tins of this lovely tea to giveaway to two lucky winners. Each winner will receive one each of the Christmas tea and the Indulgent Vanilla Chai tea. You lucky ducks !

To enter:

Go over to Twinings Australia page HERE and like them telling them that Australian Mums Products sent you tagging our page in the comment so that I can count it. Then leave a comment here telling me you have done so.

And then in a separate comment tell me a blend of tea you would create to celebrate your special occasion. This doesn't have to be Christmas it can be Eid, Hanukkah, Birthday, Winter Solstice.... Which ever special occasion you love the most. I want to know what you would create :)

Winner will be decided on it's creativity and sheer yumminess of the entry on the 5th December so get your thinking caps on quick! You must of LIKED the Twinings Australia page for your entry to be chosen as a winner. It's the least we can do to say thank you for the gorgeous prizes and review products.

In the meantime you can purchase these wonderful teas online at http://www.twinings.com.au/ or at your local Coles Supermarket.

Can't wait to hear your ideas.

Product Review - OTi Organiser

As many of you know, the wonderful people at OTi Organiser have sent me a beautiful Spearmint green organiser to review. I am thoroughly delighted with my new organiser! I simply cannot find fault with it at all. I can't believe I have never owned one before.

Right from the start after you open the organiser it is handy. There is a nifty little pocket built into the cover that is perfect for storing any papers or appt cards that you may need throughout the year. I love this feature, I am forever losing such things in my handbag but now they will be secure and safe stored here.

Every day of the year has a section not only for your appointments but for writing in exercise and your meal plan for the day. I find this extremely helpful for when you write up weekly meal plans and you want to mix things up and not keep making the same thing. We all know that rut of the same meal every single week yes? now you can flip easily through the year to see what lovely things you have made and get some inspiration for the following week. Down the right hand page of every week there is also a very handy 2 part section with To Do and People to contact. Again very helpful, especially when there is no need to specifically plan a date and a time, you can simply mark it here for reference through the week and get to it when you desire. I know this feature will be well used for me!

Do you love to travel? You'll LOVE the Going Away section at the back of the organiser. It has a section for everything from what to pack, Important phone numbers and right down to your travel Itinerary. Never forget the name of your hotel again !!

Love Entertaining? If you are like me, you will have lots of dinner parties through the year. I adore entertaining and this section is very very useful. Never repeat the same foods again for your friends, Keep notes of food allergies or dislikes. Write down what your friends rave about so you know what they like to make for them again. You can even write down what recipes you cook and what cookbook you got the recipe from.

And last but not at all least. The removable contacts and notes book !! I absolutely HATE having to write all of my contacts information out every.single.year. Now I don't have to. I can write it all down in this wonderful removable book and simply transfer it to my new organiser next year. YAY.

As you can see, I am in love with my new organiser. It even has a pen attached to the side for easy access and use. This organiser is a dream come true for me. I know that I am going to stick with this organiser year after year from now on.

A HUGE thank you to OTi Organisers for sending me this gorgeous product to review. You have made a future customer here and I will brag about you to everyone I meet.

Check them out for yourself HERE and pick one up for next year..... I only wish it was January now so I can use it today.

Sleepy Wings Reviews

I am happy to announce that we have added Tara's and Melinda's Sleepy Wings Reviews to our blog!

When Lisa and I first heard about Sleepy Wings we couldn't get over how brilliant they sounded. When we were able to organise some sleepy wings to review on Australian Mum's Favourite Baby and Child Products we were excited for our reviewers (and a little jealous that our babies were too big).

You can read the sleepy wings reviews here.

Thank you Sleepy Wings for the review opportunity. Your product is absolutely wonderful, you should be very proud of it and how you are helping Mother's and babies world wide to sleep peacefully.

I look forward to being your customer in the future (if I ever get around to having another baby).

Product Review - Little Pumpkin

Danni and I have been so spoilt in having these gorgeous products from Little pumpkin to trial and review.

I have to say that I am beyond impressed! The quality of not only the product but their packaging is amazing. When I first opened our package with these products I was blown away by how beautiful they were. The gorgeous glass jars and their labeling is beautiful to say the least. And the smell of them oh my wonderful.

Soothing Baby Bottom Balm:

The smell of this is incredible. I cannot stop smelling it every time I open the jar! I cannot pinpoint what memory inside me it is evoking but there is a reminder in that jar and I will remember it. The smell is honestly one of the most delightful scents I have ever known. It kind of reminds me of a candy store but not quite. It is as though every gorgeous smell on earth has been lovingly packaged into one small jar. You MUST try this even if it is to smell it!

It has a gorgeously whipped like texture that is so beautiful to apply. It is creamy and luxurious oh and did I mention the smell hehe. My son's bottom is so kissable and smooth now. So healthy and soft is his skin. This product gets a thumbs up in every aspect.

Calm Baby Balm:

An Intricate balm designed to settle and relax, with delicate aromas of exotic wild crafted Atlas Mountain blue tansy, organic Roman chamomile, and a hint of organic tangerine. Designed for use at any time to calm and soothe.

Sleepy Baby Balm:

Designed for use at bedtime to settle, relax and gently promote sleep. Sleepy Baby is a classic calming balm that features organic high-altitude Bulgarian lavender fused with traditional organic Roman chamomile with organic fair-trade East African shea butter.

Day Time Snuffle Balm:

A soothing balm designed to relieve coughs and snuffles throughout the day. Infused with organic lemongrass and a complex of delicate citrus notes, This invigorating balm refreshes the senses whilst using Australian, organic rosemary and cypress for their decongesting and cold relieving properties.

About Mandy Mac

Hello, I'm Amanda McCracken, founder of Mandy Mac.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I knew I would use cloth nappies. I was worried about the health effects of using plastic and chemical based nappies - so I wanted something natural. Using fitted nappies seemed so much easier than the traditional terry square so I started experimenting with all types of fabric and styles - eventually settling on the now patented onesize with built-in liner.

When my neighbour asked me to make some for her sons as she was sick of washing pyjamas and sheets every morning, I had now idea it would lead to a flourishing business enterprise.

My business allows me to combine my three other passions in life: my family, the environment and third world development. Having a Batchelor of Commerce from Monash University - I majored in economic development because I fervently believe we have the opportunity to raise the living standards of people in the third world.

And so I get the Mandy Mac nappies manufactured in a developing country giving people employment and an increased standard of living that they would not otherwise have. Because our nappies are reusable they are far more environmentally friendly than single use nappies. My mission is to provide top quality modern cloth nappies to Australian families at top value prices. Finally, I am able to work from home which enables me to spend time with my four beautiful children: Lydia, Henry, Bram and Jemima.

This is the reason I am so grateful for the life I am leading. I have managed to combine everything in life that is important to me.

Review Opportunity

If you would like to be one of the two chosen mum's to trial and review one of these gorgeous nappies ( Reviewers will be chosen by Amanda herself ) then please send us an email to reviews.australianmumsproducts@hotmail.com telling us what you think the greatest benefit of going PUL free is!!

Amanda has so generously also offered everyone who enters our competition a $5 gift voucher to spend at the Mandy Mac store.

Thankyou Amanda for giving us this wonderful review opportunity. I have used your nappy now a couple of times and I love it. I cannot wait to write my review and read what the other 3 mums have to say!
